Kutlwano Maite is a qualified Clinical Psychologist who uses a holistic approach to psychotherapy. She obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University and completed her training as a Clinical psychologist at Free State Psychiatric Hospital. She served the community of Bloemfontein at a local Clinic, known as MUCPP, where she established a referral system for psychiatric care, initiated group therapy for common diagnostic issues, created employee wellness programs to foster a healthy working environment at the Clinic, and also hosted workshops that would be beneficial to the staff members. Kutlwano regards everyone’s emotional well-being and mental health as important and as such offers psychotherapy to individuals (children included)/couples/families and groups. She views psychotherapy as a collaborative process that assists with facilitating self and emotional awareness (insight), empowerment of autonomy, and as a process which provides psychological support in the process of self-actualizing. Kutlwano is now affiliated with Marriage Powerhouse Network NPC, with the aim of creating systemic change within families hoping that this will impact the world at large positively.
